Ingredients
Grated beetroot 3 cups
Milk 2 cups ( 400 ml )
Sugar 1/2 to 3/4 cup .. adjust accordingly
Ghee 4 to 5 tsp
Cashew, dry grapes
Cooking method
Wash the beetroots well and peel the skin, grate finely and keep aside
Ghee in pan
Add grated beetroot and sauté till raw smell leaves
Add milk and sugar
Cook well till consistency become thick
Add roasted cashews and dry grapes in 1 tsp of ghee and mix
Yummy beetroot halwa ready
Pros:-
Beetroot rich in fibre,carbohydrates of simple sugars,protein and very low fat .
Good source of vitamins:- folate and C
Minerals :-manganese, potassium and iron
Cons:- contains oxalates lead to kidney stones. So avoid in such conditions.
