Broccoli Salad

Hi all ! Wanna get fit?!! Go for this healthy salad.

Just a few ingredients, prepared in easy steps starring broccoli, a well known green vegetable related to the cabbage and cauliflower family as the main ingredient and enhanced with cabbage and bell peppers.

Though seemingly simple, this dish is a nutritional powerhouse, full of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that are sure to aid you in achieving your coveted health goals with greater ease.

Cooking time : 20 minutes

Prep : 10 minutes

Cooking : 10 minutes.

Broccoli salad / Simple easy healthy


Ingredients:

  • Broccoli - 2 large heads🥦🥦

  • Cabbage - 1 small head

  • Spring onions - 8 with half the stem

  • Red Bell pepper - 1 small sized

  • Green Bell pepper - 1 medium sized

  • Coriander leaves - 2 sprigs

  • Black pepper powder - 1 tsp

  • White pepper powder - 1 tsp

  • Salt - 1 tsp

  • Oregano seasoning - ¾ tsp

  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon

Prep work :

Wash the broccoli in clean water and separate the florets.

Immerse them in boiling water and keep aside.

Like wise wash the other vegetables and chop it and keep aside.

Cooking method :

Pour 1 tbsp of olive oil into a heated pan.

Once the oil is hot add the finely chopped garlic and sauté for a minute over a medium flame.

Next add the chopped spring onions and sauté for a minute.


Next add the chopped bell peppers and sauté for 2 minutes.

Now add the black pepper powder, white pepper powder, salt. Give a mix and cook for a minute.


Then add the chopped cabbage and broccoli florets, give a nice mix and close the lid.

Steam cook for 4 minutes over low flame with a gentle stir in between.


Now take off the lid, add the lemon juice and season with oregano spices.


Transfer to a serving bowl and enjoy your healthy broccoli salad.
