Hi all !! Glad to meet you all once again. This time presenting a mouth watering, delicious evening time snack, This healthy snack is a favourite one not only for kids, also for everyone.
It’s tasty and full of nutrients, ideal for growing children as it provides a good amount of protein.

Cooking time - 45 minutes
Prep - 20 minutes
Cooking - 25 minutes
Ingredients:
Fish of choice - ½ kg
Vegetables:
Onion - 2
Potato - 2
Green chilli - 2
Garlic - 12 pods
Ginger - 1 inch cube size
Coriander leaves - a handful
Masalas:
Red chilli powder - 2 tsp
Black pepper powder - ½ tsp
Cumin powder - ½ tsp
Turmeric powder -¼ tsp
Garam masala - ¼ tsp
Salt 1 tsp or as required
To coat the patties:
Egg - 1
Bread crumps - 1 cup
Cooking oil:
Preferably olive oil - 100 ml
Prep work :
Clean the fish thoroughly and rinse it multiple times and dice into smaller sizes of 1 inch cube.
Finely chop the onions, green chilli, garlic, ginger and coriander leaves and keep aside.
To a pan add 2 cups water, a pinch of turmeric powder and salt. Once the water starts boiling add the pieces of fish and cook it with lid closed for 5 minutes until the fish becomes soft and tender.
Take this out with the help of a strainer and place it in bowl. Remove the bones from the cooked fish and keep aside.
Peel the potato skin and dice it into half an inch cube sizes. Cook this in the same pan, with the remaining water with lid closed for 5 to 6 minutes until the potatoes is well cooked. Similarly take this with the strainer and place it in a bowl.
Next smash the cooked fish first and then add the cooked potatoes to this and smash it finely together and keep aside.

Cooking steps :
To heated pan add 1 tbsp of olive oil. Once the oil is hot add the chopped garlic, ginger, green chilli and sauté for a minute over a medium flame.
Next add the chopped coriander and sauté along with onions for a minute.
Now add the masalas along with salt and give a nice mix.

To this add the smashed fish and potatoes mixture and give a nice mix so that the masalas gets blended well together.
Next add 1 tsp of bread crumps to this and give a mix. Switch off the flame and remove the pan.

Once it becomes to room temperature make rounded patties and keep aside.

Dip the patties one by one, first in egg and then coat it with bread crumps and keep it aside.
To a heated frying pan add 100 ml of olive oil. Once the oil is heated up shallow fry the patties on either side by flipping it over.
Place this fried cutlet pieces over the plate covered with tissue paper so that the extra oil gets absorbed.

Transfer to a serving bowl. Your Yummy fish cutlet is ready to relish. Enjoy with mayonnaise sauce or tomato sauce.
