Goat Liver with bell pepper/capsicum/dry masala.

# Non vegetarian dish made from goat liver healthy and delightfully yummy at the same time most nutrient food.#GoatLiver #NonVeg #withBellPepper

Ingredients:

  • Liver 1/4 kg

  • Shallots 15 - finely sliced

  • Tomato 1 diced small .

  • Red bell pepper 1/2 diced into small pieces

  • Green bell pepper 1/2 diced into small pieces

  • Curry leaves - a small handful

  • Ginger garlic paste -1 1/2 tsp

  • Turmeric powder -1tsp

  • Salt -1tsp or as required

  • Oil 3 tbsp


For dry mixture:

  • Jeera- 1 tsp

  • Saunf(fennel) 1 tsp

  • Red chilli- 2

  • Cloves - 3

  • Cinnamon- 1 small stick mall stick


Prep work:

Wash the whole liver remove the superficial white layer and dice into half inch cubes.

Cook in a pressure cooker with 1 cup of water, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder for 6 whistles over a medium flame and keep aside .


Roast the ingredients for dry mixture in a preheated pan for 2 minutes over a medium flame. Once it cools down grind to a fine powder and keep aside.


Cooking process:


Add 3 tbsp of oil to a heated pan .

Once oil is hot add the finely sliced shallots and sauté for 2 minutes until it becomes translucent.

Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for a minute until the raw smell leaves .


Add turmeric powder 1/2 tsp, salt 1/2 tsp dry mixture and sauté for 1 minute.

Add cut tomatoes, capsicum and sauté for 5 minutes on a low flame.


Add the diced cooked liver drained from the broth and mix gently for 2 minutes.

Now add the broth (which is the liquid left over in the pressure cooker following the cooking of the liver with added water) mix well and bring this to a boil.


Once it comes to a boil, close the lid and cook for 5 minutes on a medium flame, stirring intermittently so as to avoid the liver from burning and sticking to the base.

Then repeat the same process for another 5 minutes on a low flame stirring occasionally until it becomes thicker in consistency.

Now remove the lid and add the fresh curry leaves and mix gently for a minute.


Transfer to a serving bowl .

Your yummy liver bell pepper dry masala is ready . Enjoy.
