Mint leaves - 1 cup
Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
Peanut/Ground nut - 2 table spoon
Pottu kadalai (roasted Bengal gram)
1 table spoon
Urad dhal (split black gram)1 tsp
Kadalai paruppu (Bengal gram) 1/2 tsp
Jeera 1/2 tsp
Salt 1/2 tsp
Red chilli 2 nos (green chilli can also be used instead of red chill)
Garlic 1 pod
Ginger 1/4 th of an inch
Tamarind - tiny gooseberry size ball .
Shallots - 6
For tempering:
1 tsp oil
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp urad dal
Few Curry leaves
Method
In a preheated pan Roast peanut, Bengal gram dal, roasted Bengal gram dal, Urad dal, jeera for 2 minutes, transfer to plate and keep it aside.
To the same pan add 1 tsp oil.
Once the oil is hot add shallots , garlic, ginger, tamarind , red chilli and sauté for 2 minutes.
To this add the roasted contents and sauté for a minute.
Then add mint leaves along with coriander leaves , sauté for 2 minutes over a low flame .
At this stage add salt 1/2 tsp and mix . Switch off the flame.

Allow this to come to room temperature.
Now grind this in a mixie jar to a coarse to fine paste ( as desired ) with 1/4 cup of water and transfer to a bowl.
To a preheated small pan , add 1 tsp oil , season with 1/4 tsp mustard seeds , 1/2 tsp urad dhal and curry leaves .
Once it splutters add it to the the mint peanut mixture.
Your yummy mint with peanut chutney is ready now . Enjoy 😉
Goes well with idli , dosai and curd rice /as spread for bread sandwich.
