Vegetable Fried Rice

A Chinese dish prepared with fried cooked rice,mixed vegetables, chilli sauce and soya sauce. Very nutritious diet and a filling meal. #VegFriedRice #ChineseDish #NutritiousDiet

Ingredients

Green beans 10
Carrot 2
Capsicum 1
Spring onions 5
Cabbage a small quantity
Garlic 5 pods
Ginger 1 inch size
Oil 3 tablespoons
Chilli sauce 2 tablespoons
Soya sauce 1 tsp
Black pepper 1/4 tsp
Salt 2 tsp
Basmati rice 2 cups
Water 4 cups
Cooking method
First wash and soak 2 cups of basmati rice in required water for 20 minutes .
Meantime finely chop all the vegetables as shown in pic and keep aside.
Next add 1 tablespoon of oil in a heated pan and fry the soaked rice gently for a minute.
To this add 4 cups of water, 1 tsp salt and close the lid and cook under medium flame for about five minutes so that the rice is separated and does not stick to each other ,if there is excess water drain it .
2 tablespoons of oil in a heated pan
Sauté spring onions, garlic and ginger for 1 minute
Then add beans,carrot ,capsicum ,cabbage and 1 tsp of salt .Saute for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add 2 tablespoons of chilli sauce and 1 tsp of dark soya sauce and saute for a minute .
Then add the cooked basmati rice and mix gently for another 2 minutes.
Sprinkle black pepper powder and gently mix for another minute.
Your delicious veg fried rice is ready .
Transfer to a bowl and serve with egg Manchurian or cauliflower manchurian which goes well with veg fried rice. 😀
